Refund policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
For guests
- All ticket sales are final. Tickets and add-ons are non-refundable, and you confirm this before you pay.
- The service fee shown at checkout (booking and card processing) is never refundable, even when a studio refunds your ticket.
- The studio hosting the session can choose to give a full or partial refund. Contact them directly; their details are on your ticket and in your confirmation email (just reply to it).
- If a studio cancels a session, we expect them to refund you in full. If that doesn't happen, email hello@soundbathsessions.com.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Refunded tickets are cancelled and can't be used for entry.
- You can give your ticket to a friend by changing the guest name on your ticket page, up until it's checked in.
- Memberships: cancel any time from My tickets; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for and won't be charged again. Past payments aren't refunded unless the studio chooses to.
- Class packs and gift cards: non-refundable once any part has been used. The studio may refund one that hasn't been used yet (the service fee isn't refunded). Gift cards don't expire.
- Please contact the studio before disputing a charge with your bank. Disputes take weeks to resolve, while studios can often help the same day.
For studios
- Refunds are your decision. Issue them from your dashboard (in the app: Studio → Orders and refunds): open the order, then Refund or cancel. You can refund all or part of an order and cancel individual tickets.
- Refunds cover the ticket price and are paid from your Stripe balance. Service fees aren't refunded to the guest. If you absorb fees, the 6.9% Sound Bath Sessions fee and card processing aren't returned to you.
- If you cancel a session, refund every guest in full.
- If a guest disputes a charge (a chargeback), the disputed amount is held from your Stripe balance until the bank decides. Sound Bath Sessions adds no fee of its own; you pay what Stripe charges: a $15 dispute fee on every dispute (not returned, even if you win) and a $15 counter fee if you submit a response (returned if you win). If you win, the held amount comes back too. If you lose or don't respond, it stays with the cardholder. You respond from your dashboard before the deadline: we pre-fill the booking, check-in record and the guest's non-refundable agreement, and you add your explanation and files. If you don't respond, the dispute is lost automatically.
